Drop in an original Nikon NEF file and this page will scan the metadata for the shutter count. Best used with a straight-out-of-camera file when you are listing a body for sale.

Full EXIF data
Nikon cameras make it relatively straightforward to check shutter count, as the information is usually stored in the EXIF metadata of images taken with the camera.
The shutter count, or actuation count, shows how many photos have been taken, which is especially useful when buying or selling used equipment.
Because everything runs in your browser, your images stay private and are not uploaded to any server. It is one of the quickest ways to check a Nikon camera's usage.
